What if...
- It is the ability to make stories of events in our lives that is being lost through Dementia.
- Listening to and telling stories helps to keep the pathways open.
- When it is difficult to find the right words a story can fill in the missing pieces of the jigsaw.
- Using story takes away the distress of not being able to remember the ‘right’ story.
- Listening to stories strengthens the connections between the left and the right brain.
- The comfort of the imagination is not imaginary.
